possibly buying a second hand quickshift. except im not too sure if its a quickshift. basically a quickshift is just a shorter gear lever right? my car is a my99 imp turbo how long in centimetres is the stock gear leaver mechanism (from the white ball to where the **** would go). if you have your stock one lying around please measure it for me so i can compare it with this replacement and see if its worth it.

please someone must have changed their stock shifter, all i need is a measurement as i have no idea how to get mine out, and i dont want to buy a shifter thats not actually shorter.

I fitted one to my L plate WRX. Don't think that the stick is shorter, I'm sure they're the same length.

I can't be sure, so I edited my last post.

Don't know how it works to be honest, can't remember what the original was like, it was the 1st thing I modded when I first got the car.

Don't worry about it, just do it. Loads have, and had no problems.
