Wink I upset Mr Aston Martin DB9 driver...

If by chance you are the proud owner of new Aston Martin DB9 and happen to have a peep at scoobynet "although I can't see anyone on here owning a bright yellow shirt and braces"
And you were in the vasinity of Silverstone yesterday lunchtime, then i appologise for ruining your day, you firstly shouldn't have passed me on the inside like a dick! whilst i was taking it easy! never mind... I just WISH to god i'd have had a camera for your face as i was stuck firmly to the rear of your £110,000 Aston...

Although... it did sound absalutly amazing...MMMhhhhhh

Dude loose the shirt!

I'm sure he was real gutted, as you say, sat in his 100k+ luxury, luxury, hanbuilt, brand spanking cruiser.

Gutted like a bloke that could buy an Sti with the cash in his wallet.

The way your post reads it sounds like you were in the outside lane taking it easy so Mr. Aston Martin decides to pass you on the inside as this is where you should have been. If (and I stress the if) this was the case it sounds like you got what you deserved and next time follow the rules of the road. If not then never mind!

Why he would he be gutted? If I were in a £100k car I'd be on top of the world and couldn't give a flying **** what other people thought.
People don't buy Astons for 0-100mph drag races.....

Astons don't have rear-view mirrors. It's so they don't have to look at the plebs they've left in their wake.

You've gotta feel sorry for him, in a way; depreciation is currently reaming his ring out with a high-speed wire mop. LOL.

if he bought an aston brand new at 100k a throw, I don't think he gives a flying fcukl about depreciation.

You'll say he is cncerned about servicing and fuel consumption next.

Get real.

if you want to see something where people get really upset ive got some video footage of my sti8 overtaking a F355 at donnington

at the end of the first straight going round the first bend overtook him on the outside hehehehehe ............... turns out it was the track car doing flying laps, huess what it pitted 2 laps l8tr and never went out for the rest of the day... the cheer that went up when my car went past was better than the drivers face

oh and I wasnt driving my car

but i was shakily recording it for posterity

Nope... i was approaching the roundabout coming upto a slower car on the inside.. who then pulled into lane two... Mr Aston being sporty, immediatly switched to the inside and booted it... He wouldn't have done it if I'd have been in a Mundano would he!!!
Also having passed both adv tests... and doing 50k a year for the last 16years i wasn't dreaming in lane two either...

he booted it into the roundabout for one reason... becouse i was in a Jap sports car... and he'd spent 110k on 450bhp... and in his mind thats to make other sports car drivers look silly... Unfortunatly it didn't hence the post....

misserable tw@ too... i got blitzed by a TVR but at the end of the carraigeway I gave him the thumbs up and he did the same both with big grins I was just luving the noise of the TVR... A true enthusiast!

Rivalry doesn't bother me,

Imagine if you read the same post on Saxo net, where they were gloating their 5k VTS beat a 20k scoob? People on here would be up in arms sayng the scoob is a much better car etc... Works the same up the food chain...

Well bearing in mind that your average Aston owner looks down at Porsche drivers as some sort of pond life, Scoobs don't stand a chance

Wink

becouse i was in a Jap sports car...
Thought you said you were in your Scoob?

First you said:
you firstly shouldn't have passed me on the inside like a dick!
Then later you said

Obviously you don't take part in ANY friendly safe rivalry MB
So he was driving like a dick, you took the bait and took off after him (like a dick) and then make out it's like friendly rivalry.

Shouldn't you change the title to "I got overtaken by someone in a much nicer car than mine, and as I've got a small ***** I needed to prove that my jap "sportscar" was as fast as his"

Now the DB9 has a Top speed of 186mph and 62mph acceleration takes just 4.9 seconds!! If you were on a Motorway then you would have NO CHANCE of keeping up!!! I have a subaru but im also realistic!!!

Err this is getting daft... some very cynical and serious people around that’s all I can say... lighten up a bit…

As it is I like motoring as most of the people on here I would expect do... I also know I have a high enough IQ not to get into the "I got overtaken by someone in a much nicer car than mine" argument... what's all that about... I had a BM that was a much NICER car than the Scoob and if a 911 Turbo basted past me then I’d have the window down to listen!

I was having a bit of safe fun FFS! It wasn't malicious or personal, more out of interest if anything to see what it went like... And sounded like... interesting to see I could keep up when spending a quarter of the $$$ it just so happned he was a stuckup tw@

Also

Well bearing in mind that your average Aston owner looks down at Porsche drivers as some sort of pond life, Scoobs don't stand a chance

Actually Astons may look nice but the last Aston DB7 I had a go in was built worse than an old Fiat... it was and I kid you not... CRAP! A friend of my friend had a new DB7 two years ago... I say had, he sold it due to it having so many faults... it was in and out of the dealers for over a year!

I think I may buy a subscription to knitting monthly for a few people on here! Jeeees talk about holier than thou! FM
