As for numbering, my RB5 is no382 of 444 and was first purchased in NI. Go figure.

I don't think it's getting confusing ... Subaru have always stood by their original statment - first batch for early orders will be mid April - rest will be June, July & August!
What is making it confusing is the absolute rubbish that people keep posting up about this car (or the absolute rubbish they are being told by other sources). Especially the one about the phone call from the Sales Director - pmsl!

I have recieved a delivery date on an audio tape direct from the head of IM in Japan. It self destructed in 5 seconds when I chose to accept it.
Actually I'm not that bothered when mine arrives, gives me more time to sell and save.

Hopefully it wont go the same way as the P1.
I placed my deposit on 3rd November 1999 for delivery in March 2000 after seeing it at the Motor Show in London in October.
I finally picked the car up on 31st July 2000.I wouldn't have minded but I had bought an R reg classic to tide me over till it came.As it went beyond the 6 months that had been allowed for, I ended up having to re-tax it & get a service & 2 new tyres before I traded it in.
Delay was due to problem with rear spoilers IIRC.

Apparently they are developing a 'plus' pack which WR1 owners can have put on by Prodrive to up the spec ... will prob be along the lines of bit more power or uprated ICE.
Should probably know full details next week as I was told early april in my letter!

Oh right ... well I had a proper letter from my dealer - I know he met with Prodrive today to discuss what options to put in a plus package. He has the biggest dealer allocation of WR1's in the country (20 or something) so maybe it's just something he is doing independantly. I will put full details up next week when I know them ... and hopefully my delivery date!!

I ordered mine from Crossroads ... I got no further details other than they are meeting to discuss a plus package. I just assumed that it might contain a performance upgrade. Should know for sure next week hopefully.
