WR1 Orders - Have you heard this?
According to my local scooby dealer I'm told all WR1 customers are going to be contacted by Subaru UKs director of sales (Sam Burton I'm told) with regard to telling the unimformed masses (including the dealers it seems) when they should expect to receive their car! Has anybody else heard this. Indeed has he called anybody yet?

Was passing my local dealer the other day (not where ive ordered mine from) and asked when they were expecting their 1st WR1 he rang IM and came up with the above, Lets hope they allocate cars according to when deposits were placed rather than the position on dealers own list as I ordered mine on 22 Dec, Anyone order theirs before 22 Dec ????? or am I first in the Q overall ??????

He told me the early orders get contacted first. Which means your phone will hopefully ring real soon! Let us know what he says! The wait is driving me nuts!

I got a letter (two days after the Autosport show - where I ordered the car)
saying something along the lines of "congratulations you are now the proud owner of a WR1" "we look forward to delivering your car in April"
Don't know if anybody else got this but hopefully I'll be hearing more news at some point this week

They took my license as well, was requested on the order form.
March 1st my order went in.
I've been having a little chit chat with Subaru UK.
Once the cars are in the country they have to be registered first before any of the modifications taking place. This I've been told should be a 2 week turn around.
Each dealer should get there first one by mid April and then each month after that.
So it looks like one a month to each dealer.
So mine bee the 4th order of 6 I'm thinking that it's not going to be before July, but I'll keep fingers crossed.
Never mind about trying to pull one off and write the delivery date down.
Keep one hand free and let the other half polish your gear stick, while you get then to repeat the delivery date a dozen times so you get it correct.

FYI People ... Spoke to my dealer today (who incidentally is the largest supplier of the WR1 in this country) and he said the claims that this sales director from Subaru will ring each indiviual WR1 customer are complete rubbish and totallty untrue. My dealer has been to prodrive a great deal over the past month and has spoken with Subaru almost daily.
Back to knowing nothing I guess!!
