Question MY02 - PPP or G-force stage 1

I am looking to make my car feel better and more responsive now i am used to the standard car but am confused as to what to get.

PPP looks good as it will keep the warranty but power is down on what i want!

G-Force motorsport offer a 315bhp conversion for the same price but i have one question - will the subaru garage still service it for me as i would like to keep FSSH as i would be selling the car in standard form when i do come to sell it!

Warranty is not really a issue as i only have 6 months of it left!

Can i have you oppinions!

Thanks
Nick

No reason why they wouldn't carry on servicing WRBlue.

Normal servicing would not effect any ecu upgrades you do, and I do not even think they would even check the ecu settings unless you asked them to..

And if you had a running issue with the re-map/new ecu, you would go back to the place you got it from/had the remap done , anyway.

I would be aware that the quoted bhp is not a guarenteed figure. they can only get the maximum safe power for that particular engine, and you may find that yours may "only" reach 300bhp in the end anyway!

There are other places to consider also, Scoobysport offer an ECUTEK remap (PAT) and there exhaust system for 340HP which is much better VFM in my opinion. Been down the G-Force route, overrated & overpriced!

Thanks for the above.

Which one would be the best - what would every one else get if they had the option?

Have to say, I put PPP on my 04STi and have regretted it ever since.

OK I hear you cry 'warranty'- but to be frank I am willing to take the risk of something going wrong and having no warranty under a prodrive alternative upgrade.

My car is fine with the PPP. I just feel, wiht hindsight, that I could have done better, for the same, or less money.

I think it's fair to say that most purchases of PPP would have been to protect the warranty. You do pay for this when you buy PPP.
