mine shouldnt be too far off the T25 performance spec sheet, altho my car is 4 years old, and is still 2L..

its a lot of torque tho

when i get my new uprated clutch/Flywheel done I shall get it RR'd (maybe @ Powerstation just for comparison sake)

Seen two being converted in Powerstation
No visible clues to what's lurking under the bonnet at all!
The guys at Powerstation cannot sing its praises high enough...
Fancied one when mine is due to be swapped but the insurance quote from Spen555 is a bit daunting....

Chrome,

I am 32, have 6/7 years ncb (forget off the top of my head) and three points on my license for an SP50. The car is garaged as well!

I am currently paying £1,500 for the JDM MY03 WRX STi !!

You won't believe the torque delivery of a 2.5 until you drive one Even for the same power and torque levels as a 2.0 engine it is incredible in its flexibility. There truly is no replacement for displacement.

The 2.5 can make what is arguably a bit too large a turbo on a 2.0 feel like a TD04

What John said

I drove it last week, and with the better low down torque along with the twin scroll turbo and the map they have done for it, there basically is no discernable lag. You can happily pull away in 2nd gear, and drive round town in 5th. Its just so completely effortless and, dare i say, relaxing compared with a highly tuned 2.0 with a TD04 or even TD05.

Relaxing that is until you gun it, at which point you less steer it and more hold on for dear life!!! The acceleration through 4th 5th and 6th is just completely linear, and completely surreal.

Oh, and the suspension ain't bad either

Sorry Guys but at 34K its far cheaper to buy an import STi 9 like Bob Rawle, spend a few quid on it and get the same results for about 8k less, even the additional cost of a USDM 2.5 short motor would only increase the price another 1K ish. One year down the line it'll be worth under 20K secondhand just like any other STi would be. Not VFM IMHO.
