How old is Scoobynet?

How old is Scoobynet?
So the general forum is within 2k of half a bar of posts - that's pretty good going for a niche car forum. How long has this taken, and is activity increasing or declining?

there was a thread a bit ago (poss in muppets) which had a bit about the history of scoobynet, so try searching for it.

lol - searching on scoobynet, what a great idea. I suppose not being able to search is why everyone keeps posting the same questions - which keeps the post count ticking - maybe the webmasters cunning plan.

why can't you search? It's been running since yesterday
ScoobyNet is about 5 years old I think. It is a shame, but a substantial part of the forum had been pruned prior to me taking it on and those posts appear to be lost for ever
In answer to your other question, the traffic on scoobynet continues to rise month on month - it's incredible really. We did drop a chunk of traffic during the change of policy a few months ago, and then a bit more during the change of server, but astoundingly we are already above the traffic stats we had before all the changes. The great thing is though, it looks like we really did lose the traffic we were trying to (the problem element), and the signal v noise ratio has improve significantly.
All the best

What search?
ah - the cunning "let's not announce it" search facility - but I would agree that its best to ramp up usage slowly to start
shame about the old posts, would have been great material for a Scooby archivist - or for someone doing a PhD in Scooby studies (surely one of the new universities must offer this as an option)

DW/ Simon; I agree far more civilised enviroment to inhabit; the bad side of me does miss some of the more troublesome elements on occassion, however its the majority that seems to have won.
