Question Increasing boost using Dawes Device

Right guys, running an MY98 UK Turbo with Full Decat, AFR (to fit Sat), Knocklink (to fit Sat) and now I have a nice Dawes Device so I can incease the boost manually...

Before I fit the AFR and increase the boost, is it wise to fit a set of uprated Intercooler hoses or will the std ones be ok?...

What is a safe limit to increase the boost to?... I was hoping to run about 1.2 Bar as I heard fuel cut out is around 1.25.... What do you guys suggest?...

Decatting the car has made it much much better, I just wanna squeeze a bit more bhp out of it, and I guess increasing the boost using the Dawes is the cheapest way...

Matt.

Went the same way myself, prior to my re-map (98MY uk) ----

I wound the dawes up to 1.1, then slower (6th of a turn each time) increased it over about a week -

Once you hit fuel-cut, wind it down 1/4 of a turn !

'Safe-limit' is a 'cover-all' term - Mine didn't blow, but I'm not offering a warranty

Also, I did fit Samco I/C hoses...

I think I'll fit the Samco Hoses first and whilst the intercooler is off sort all the fins out.....

How much is a set of Samco hoses for the intercooler?....

I think fuel cut comes in around 1.11 bar, mine is running 1.3 bar on max boost with fuel cut disabled and std hoses, UK 98 turbo
