More AFR Questions.... (greasemonkey/john banks?...)
Right - Got my voltages and lean/rich settings sorted out, but here's a quick question thats puzzling me...
Obviously the AFR monitors the voltage the ECU is receiving to tell it whether the mixture is rich or poor.... I'm then asuming the ECU responds to this to increase/decrease the mixture to compensate...
If the ECU is doing this, then surely the readings you are getting from the AFR is controlled by the ECU as well so they aren't reliant?...
Any comments on this?...

The AFR is run by the voltage it sees produced by the Lambda sensor, The sensor produces voltage according to the oxygen level in the exhaust gas. The same voltage produced by the Lambda sensor tells the ECU whether to increase or decrease the amount of fuel delivered by the injectors. At light throttle settings the ECU is trying to maintain a stoichiometric fuel mixture while at "WOT" it will be shoving a rich mixture into the engine, hopefully rich enough! The ECU will control the lights by controlling the fuel delivered to the engine.
