Ok guys, I've had my MY01 WRX for a little while now and absolutely love it to bits, but the modding bug is starting to infect me. I want more power and more volume. Something along the lines of what you get from PPP, but without spending £1600.
So I guess a new backbox is a definate (I dont wanna go ridiculously loud, but I wanna hear it roar!). But what about power? Does decatting give a lot more power? Then I guess it would also be an ECU upgrade?
Can you have it decatted and still stay legal and MOT'able (which is a MUST)?
Where's the best place to go in the north London area (Watford)?
Appreciate your advice please guys. (and gals!)

If you're concerned about warranty then it's PPP only...
If you're not bothered about warranty, then exhaust system change (up-pipe, down-pipe, decat & back box) depending how far you want to go plus whether you still want your neighbours to like you
- after that lot you'd need a remap (ECUTek etc) to get the best of it. Could then be looking at 280/290bhp
after that, see the drivetrain forum for more serious wallet lightening ideas
