You don't need a flamer kit to do that on an 'older' car....all you need is an ignition cut off switch to switch the power to the coil off on the overrun.

A friend of mine thought it was big and clever when he had a Renault 5 turbo a few years ago.....that was until he set light to his rear bumper and spare wheel.!!

looks like he's injecting some sort of gas in there to ignite.
exhaust does get rather hot at the end which is a bit of a laugh.

surely getting bright red would of burnt his bumper, zorst mounts at least?

If they had a well tuned car in the first place they wouldnt need a flamer kit for that,
