Definitely not put off can't wait until it arrives. Went into dealer on Saturday still have no news but is still expecting it to arrive in April!! The dealer is Constitution Motors in Norwich and if anyone is interested they still have not sold their allocation.

Not put off at all, as someone else said how can you compare two cars with different size engines its like putting a 600cc bike against a 1000 cc bike you cannot compare as its not a level playing field and of course the bigger engine will always win with all else being equal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Starting to get very excited now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ian

Just repeating what my dealer told me. The first batch are in the country & are being prep'd, trackstar, wheels, etc. If you are one of the first 3 orders with your dealer, you should have your car in May.

All dealers got 3 in the first batch, but some dealers (Tileys in Bristol) have sold 7! There's going to be a couple unhappy bunnies at Tileys! 500 cars, 100 dealers. First 300 cars are now allocated & most are sold. Many dealers have oversold their allocation & are assuming that they will get extra cars in the 2nd phase. If the cars are spread equally, that will be an extra 2 cars per dealership. However IM may spread the cars differently, perhaps on sales for last year or maybe customer service ratings.

Did they mention if all the 3 cars would arrive the same day or at different days in May?

I didn't ask that question. If I was running the IM logistics, I'd send all 3 to each dealer in turn. That's just my speculation though.

Where on the website does it say April? If it's April - I need to get my act together selling my old car!

BTW I've spoken to IM today & also many dealers. Everyone either says they don't know about delivery, or they say May. I suppose they could be being deliberately negative.

I've had a letter from My dealer which says they will call me early April to confirm what day in April my car will be arriving on. Within the press releases section on the Subaru website it talks about April also.

I'm going to call me dealer tomorrow to get a full confirmation ... am beginning to get very annoyed with all the f. in around as Subaru know fully well when these cars are going to be released but are just stalling (in my opinion) to create hype!

The latest pdf in the news section reads "is about to enter dealer showrooms". The old 09/01/2004 does read April.

Regards
Nick

I was told that my car would ready in April. As I also have to sell my car i asked how much notice could I expect I was told I would get roughly 2 weeks
as thats how much they get before delivery. If this is the case I will be surprised if I get my WR1 this month, but I am still hopeful.

Still this give all something to talk about thoughs of us with our WR1s on order

still sort of on topic all those that have ordered a wr1 will be getting a pack through soon which contains the tax disc holder, the service book with the cars no. in it. the plaque which has the no. on it. and a brochure for extras. you have to take these down to the dealer to get them fitted.

Cool I see the Rose tinted spectacles are still firmly in place!

Only now, since the latest copy of EVO was published they have now been super-glued on!

Did anyone get a discount off their WR1?

I am sort of miffed that they are available on the net for 27300 ... maybe I shouldn't be and should just consider myself as falling foul of good marketing, but I bought into the 'exclusive' deal, part of which was the fact that my dealer required my license to ensure that I was a genuine purchaser so as not to let in the 'speculative' element so I thought this might just be the occasion to buy a new UK car (my last one was a grey import) and I only ordered on Saturday!

I didn't get a discount! Where on the net are they for sale for £27300? Is it a real WR1?

Nozzer - you got an M3? Well, at least you'll get priority treatment at the hairdressers now! I'll certainly be up for an Exmoor run. I started the runs & now I see everyone does them - even SW-PC! I'll try to find a new route somewhere. I'll miss young Bob on the runs, I had a great drive across Exmoor in the snow with him once. He's one committed driver! I heard about Steve selling his P1, I understand his reasoning. He'll probably be back in a Scoob one day.

Scoobyboy, I hadn't heard about the pack - so it comes direct from Subaru?

Is there any way we can figure our car number from the chassis number?
