Default Japanese instructions, I need help.

I've bought some kit from Japan and need help translating the instructions. Problem is they are obviously printed on paper so I can't translate on the internet. Does anyone here speak Japanese? Could you please help me out?
TIA Scott.

Can't you scan the page in, then use OCR to convert to electronic form...?

how big are the instructions? Can you scan them or take a photo with a digital camera, and post them here? If this board doesn't accept big attachments, then put them on your web space and link to them.

If they aren't too big/technical I'll ask my missus to help.

Optical Character Recognition. Its common for English language and it mightnt be too hard to find for other popular European languages too but Japanese might be difficult.

They cover several sheets of A4. I wouldnt need every last exact detail but the basic idea would be great! I can try scanning them and hosting them, not sure how well it will show up but worth a try.

Talizman, they're for a splitter.
mrklaw, I'll post them up now, I appreciate this mate. Let me know what you want in return!

Page 1
Mostly bog-standard warnings (don’t put your hairdryer in the bath kind of thing):
- make sure you tighten the bolts
- Check the bolts are tight after 100km, and regularly after that.
- if you hear a strange noise while driving, stop and check, and tighten bolts if necessary (lots of bolt-based info)
- If you break something on the skirt, you should remove it because its broken.

Page 3 (no page 2 BTW)
Attention: Something about torque – will refer later
Tools needed – Plus driver (posi); Spanner; 10mm socket wrench; drill (dia. 4; 9.5); torque wrench; pen (or punch); Uesu or wes (referred to later, maybe wet/dry sandpaper? – check context)

Clean the front bumper and spoiler with the uesu/wes, on the areas marked with lines

Undo the bolts and clip marked. Note: Retain the bolts, but do not use the bolts again

Page 4
Top image
Bring the cut side of the skirt and the bottom of the spoiler together and match them.
Put bolts and nut as indicated in the picture (top). Don’t tighten bolts yet.
(inset on left ) match the lines
(inset on right) After putting the bolts in, check that the underskirt extends slightly out to the right of the front bumper (still don’t tighten them)

(4) – mark with a pen through the holes where indicated

(5) – remove the underskirt, and drill where you have previously marked. First with the 4 diameter drill, then with the 9.5 diameter. Be sure to use only the drill size indicated, otherwise the underskirt will not fit.
Be careful not to scratch the bodywork when drilling.

Page 5
Top
Place a nut clip and well nuts in place where indicated

Bottom
Refit the underskirt and put (14 in total) nuts and bolts in place.
Numbers 2 and 3 are hexagon bolts.
Number 4 is a kind of zig zag bolt (locking bolt?)
Number 5 is a nut.
The others are car body bolts (the ones you removed before)
(hopefully you can work out from context and the bits that came with the kit)

Big black arrow says ‘match the cut’

Do not fully tighten. Check the positioning is correct carefully (left / right balance) before fully tightening. I would guess you need to tighten with a torque wrench with the settings listed in the diagram, but I can’t read those bits clearly.

BTW, hope that all made sense! Hopefully you can fill in any gaps with the additional knowledge you have, having the bits there and more experience with modding than me.

Any questions, let me know and I'll do my best. But my wife isn't a techno-head, or into cars, so this is about as complicated as we can manage.
