Default Best 'New' Deals

Hi all,

The thread about free servicing and Impreza's selling slowly was of some interest

So, how much of a 'deal' am I likely to get out of Subaru ?

www.motorpoint.co.uk are offering the WRX STi for £21,599 and the WRX for £16,699, is a Subaru dealer likely to get near these prices ?

And what does the 'SL' have that the normal WRX's don't ? Is it just sunroof and heated part leather seats ?

Cheers

I went to a dealer last week and i got them down to £18,300 for a wrx with no haggling, i reckon i could of got it down to 18k.

Motorpoint cars come from outside the eu and have no warentee or alarm/immobliser for that price. Add them on and you are talking nearly 18k. Litchfields sell them for £17,495 with UK warantee, add your alarm and its not far off 18k.

Thanks, I've called my local dealer and I'm gonna have a nose round tomorrow.

May be tempted by a WRX SL Wagon with PPP

We'll see

http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/aboutvehicles.htm

According to their website, Motorpoint:

"Our new vehicles are sourced from mainland Europe and Ireland (as is the stock at some offical dealers). Each and every car is right-hand drive, display speeds in mph and built to a European specification which conforms to UK standards. To guarantee this, an official Certificate of Conformity is supplied with each vehicle. "

A blurb box down the side states that they have a manufacturer's warantee..

Wierd...

Try www.drivethedeal.com. All UK cars supplied direct from the UK dealer (who you pay) at a good discount.

Default WRX SL

We have just bought a WRX SL Wagon and we collect it next Friday.

Apparantly there were not that many around and we nearly had to wait for the next boat in June.

We probably will fit PPP, when its a couple of months old.

[QUOTE=Muffleman]Hi all,

The thread about free servicing and Impreza's selling slowly was of some interest

Went to my dealer today to have my 1000 mile service and asked him about the free servicing on Imprezas and was told that it's not true and the only free servicing they do are on foresters

Well, we've certainly got 3 years free servicing on the new Impreza, and we've even seen the internal e-mail from International Motors to our dealer that says as much

Cool

Ordered a WRX SL this week and got a great deal for the price of a phone call - check out What Car.co.uk for more details. The price I got easily beat a couple of dealers who offered £750-800 off list price without haggling. Looks like I may have got one of the last ones already at the dockside myself ;-)

Got my new MY04 Wagon last week from Gatwick Subaru. Could of probably got it cheaper from a car superstore, but.... I had an MY99 to trade in, they had a Silver MY04 in stock and the dealer has been superb to my MY99 over the years. So....

RRP (with met paint) £20745. Haggled a discount of 5.51% and £7500 for the MY99. Basically worked out I paid £12100 for a new Wagon. Maybe not the best deal out there, but OK for me

Bought it on a Friday and drove it away the following Wednesday all thanks to Garry Edwards and James at Gatwick Subaru. Nice one.

Matt,

Did you go and see the SL Wagon yesterday? It wasn't at Culverwell Cars by any chance was it?

They are supposed to be supplying our SL Wagon to TH White and I wondered if it was that car that you saw? If it was, did it look okay?
