Perhaps he was trying but he thought: 'It doesn't matter if I lose because my nice friends in SN will stand up for me with their 'wasn't trying', 'point to point' and 'would have had him in the twisties' excuses....

Accepting defeat is not a bad thing....

Yes it was trying.

03 plate so I guess it was run in, although you never know knowing scoob drivers.

I wish my grandad Drove a car with 180bhp/tonne too. (If I had one)

PWig. Which Rover do you drive exactly? The reason I ask is because I once owned a Rover 600 Ti and there is no way on this wide earth that it was as fast as my MY02 wagon. Hell, I even got blown off with a Rover 200 Vi when I had the 600. I reckon my Autin Maxi 1750 HL (modified with twin Dellorto carbs) would give any Rover a run for its money.
Back off, you are not in the same division let alone the same league

LOL, here comes the hypocritic PC brigade of the forum that never revs the car more than 2500rpm, that never races the car, sticks to the speed limit and just bought it for the 4 doors, the picnic table and the CAVERNOUS boot....

You bought a scoob, good on ya but don't be a hypocrit about driving like an OAP.

pwig, i used to have a 620Ti (same engine as you although slightly heavier car) and i can tell you that my WRX PPP is in a different league. I was behind a Merc 500 SL (new one) the other day and on a straight bit of road he booted it and so did I and I was all over the back of him. I've had a lot of fast cars and the WRX PPP is the fastest yet for me.

explore do a favour and kill yourself. I had a scoob 2 years ago. And not your common variety scoob. One of the rarest scoobs in the UK( i bet your fashion-driven purchase of the scoob won't help you in finding out which scoob it was...). We don't need tossers like you in here, you bought a scoob and you think that you bought a life. Well, my friend it's too late to buy a life.....

Come on we all know if you drive a scoob over 125mph the engine blows up ???

thats why the Rover was able to overtake.

Poor chap in the WRX was thinking " do i take here to 140 and blow the engine or let Rover boy overtake me" its a dificult dessision to make ive been there, ive seen threads " i overtook a R in my Van " many times.

Who gives a.

PWIG,

In my dreams yeah.

Credit to the guy though...he nailed it proper and hearing that V8 in full swing was rather nice.

Just like the M3 CSL that went by me yesterday at Bedford...what a noise that made!
