Say goodbye for now...

I'm really sorry that i'm letting peeps down in the for sale section who've offered me good money for bits that i was selling from my RB5 but yesterday i had an offer i could'nt refuse....the car left me yesterday and it was a heart renching experience....i Actually cried.

Gutted and upset my garage is now empty where once parked a much Loved RB5.

So thankyou all for the experience of scoobynet. It's been a pleasure..a\nd when i get myself sorted on the personal front i'll be Back.

Phil
I'm one of the people that was let down but Ce la vie.
As i said to you on the phone, i was in mourning for months when my RB5 had to go, but it was a means to an end and i got back into a scoob just over 18 mths later, so just look forward and not back.

All the best

Cool

Yosa - Get a feckin grip mate!

The guy sold a car that he spent a lot of time and money on and due to reasons beyond his control he has had to sell it.

You may feel a bit disgruntled but Im sure your life wont be scarred, or maybe it will be from that reply.

I have lost out on the parts aswell but I've not lost my car. Im over the dissapointment now. And I was having a fair few of those bits.

Phil......take care mate.

I'm sorry to but in ...... but it's only a car FFS

Sold mine beginning of February after 2 1/2 years and although I've had more pleasurable moments in my life than hearing that lovely flat 4 sound resonate along my street as the buyer drove it off... it's still only a feckin car.

Has anyone died, are they terminally ill, has war broken out ?

Most people on here who have sold their Impreza's have all put a shedload of work into them and shared the up's and down's with engines blowing and all the fun of meets etc ... but

Get it into perspective PLEASE and in this instance I would say I sniggered at Yoza's comment

Sorry to hear the guy had to sell it due to personal reasons but what other reasons are you going to sell it for

I sold mine for personal reasons .. ie I was personally skint

the car left me yesterday and it was a heart renching experience....i Actually cried.

Coulster,

I dont feel 'a bit disgruntled' that your boyfriend has sold his car.

I never wanted to buy any bits off him, and I dont do group buys, in fact I didnt even know he was selling any bits......

As for being scarred, we will see.

My reply was tongue in cheek, but you didnt get on it.

I didnt see XXGOMXX going off on one, maybe he did get it.

See you soon.......

Edited to say all is now clear, Ive just noticed your Scottish.

Personal reasons can indeed mean simply being skint but why would you be skint and why all of a sudden can't you afford to keep the car you've just had to sell?

Maybe a job loss, divorce, money stolen etc can be the reason, in which case anybody that's had to face this gets my understanding.

Yes it's only a car but if you were blameless for it's sale then it's a bástard.

Agree with you spoon re redundancy etc but I really thought WWIII had started .....

it's with a heavy heart
I cried
but seeing my car yesterday leave me
It's just a bit melodramatic IMHO, the phrases he has used throughout the thread would of suited an epitaph to a loved one .... that's all

I know it's an enthusiasts site but sometimes I just feel a bit of perspective is needed at times...

No personal disrespect meant to XXGOMXX

Sipie- Oh and lets not forget those who were also forced to come down to a flipping Subaru too due to unforseen circumstances.

Tis all relative I suppose ... I never liked the colour of my Enzo anyway, that's why I chose the Scoob......

However, I'm quite liking the ultra-rare silver Focus 1.8 zetec that my personal circumstances have gleefully bestowed upon me

Me = bitter

Tell me about it spoon

Temporary I assure you, as pending wedding is sucking up all the cash that was previously used for a new Impreza short block, gearbox and running costs of £1100 a month

On a more serious (if unbelievable) note, the Focus is moderately entertaining handling wise with better brakes than my MY99 scoob and in the dry I'd say the handling ain't far off the scoob either

Off for a lie down

It's only when people branch off from their "worshipped" car that they realise just how good supposedly mundane cars can be so I'd agree with the above.

Anyway, I'm off out for a beer with Chaos.
