car parks dont you just love em
been away for the weekend and the hotel carpark was full so i had to park in an over spill carpark over night on waste ground there was about 40 cars in this car park which was supposed to be manned thru the night.
but whose car happened to have a cone stuck on the bonnet when i returned to the car in the morning bonnet and the wing is scratched not much but ill still have to get fixed as i dont think it will polish out out of all the cars in the car park why pick on the scoob

tell me about it, my scooby seems to attract dents like flys to a horse. Got to the point where I need the services of dentmaster to sort it out

I parked at the local B+q for 5 minutes leaving the missus in the car, on returning to the car to find that some to$$er in a porche(old one) had opened his door twice on to the wing mirror scraping the paint off. When my missus said something to him he laughed and walked away.

When I use a car park that is not patrolled by a warden ( the sort that gives you a ticket for not parking in the box that is ) I always put the car right on the white line and take up 2 spaces to avoid the door denters..... some times I'll get a look and I'll just say "door denters" and most of the time they realise what that means and you see the "penny drop" expression
Still I found another dent today.......... that makes 2 now both passenger side, one in the front door and one on the back

Wife took the car to ASDA parked up and did a little shopping , only 10mins.
When she got back some C**T had smashed the back left hand side in.
Has cost over £1600 on the insurance and been off the road for over 2 weeks.

Keyed
Yes we have had similar problems over weekend...in fact our car has been targeted 3 times now. First time (we had only had it 3 months) and some nice person came along with a four wheel drive and reversed right up the drivers side causing £2.5k worth of damage. Second time someone reversed into back causing another £1k damage and now...at Fleet Services on M3 on way back from holiday someone has keyed passenger side from front to back...lovely. Hubby has given up and says he wants to sell!

Well I went for lunch on friday with some friends. Parked as normal (leaving as much space as possible).
Return about two and a half hours later, suspicion first aroused when noticed passenger side indicator hanging down bumper... as I got closer spotted the rest of the damage........
Looks like (to my untrained eye) new indicator, new side light, new wing, new bit behind wing, possible new wheel, respray front bumper....
Feeling a bit down to say the least. The only saving grace was that she left her details (which in this day and age was a bit of a surprise) So hopefully won't take long too sort out.

A few months ago I was sitting in the car park waiting for the then mrs to come out of Borders and opposite a fat gimp with a 207 and books and jumbo coffee in hand, opened his door and smacked it into some poor 205. He looked at me guiltily and then just drove off. I got the number so I wrote a note to the 205 driver giving my details and what happened, stuck under his wiper. Never heard a peep. Would have liked to have known what happened.

Why are some people so inconsiderate. My new WRX was badly dented the first week I had it. Even with me taking up two spaces with a wall on the drivers side some t*@t in a 85 yr old montego managed to squeese in on the nearside of me (even though there were 20 empty spaces to the left of him!!). Luckily for the tosser I only noticed the damage when I got home.
I now would have no thought's doing some serious damage to any of these prats who park next to me and I make a point of checking the car every time I return.
The only way these tossers will ever learn I'm afraid!

I agree with you. Here in Paris they even dent scoobs whilst you are in it.
On Friday afternoon my evo-boyfriend, proud to be driving my Scoob, sat patiently waiting for me outside work, when this black dented BMW bumped straight into my car, pushing it some 15 cm forward. When my boyfriend got out of the car, he pretended he had not touched it. When I arrived on the scene and nearly ripped his guts out, he said there was "nothing to see" admitting he had touched. Then he had the audacity to turn to our security guard, who is the one employed to guard my car amongst many others, saying that he was looking to him for solidarity for confirmation that there was no dent! Wow! the security guard refused (he would have lost his job if he had falsely witnessed I told him). Then this culprit captured a nosy passer-by who then agreed to lie. Apparently all of this is just part of the great French theatre I am told. I am not taking matters further. I believe in justice some way or another.

Don't think it really matters what kind of car you drive.
Some ar$Ehole thought it would be clever to mess with the wife's Fiat Panda FFS!
There's a small black plastic screenwash nozzle on the back window, they turned it upside down so that the water squirted down the back of the bootlid, instead of the window. Yeh really amusing thanks very much!
Can't believe how little respect some people have for other peoples cars/belongings.
You're not going to tell me that was jealousy!

I'm currently a little surprised. The insurance company phoned me today all is going along as planned. I took it to a local bodyshop for a quote the insurance company have spoken to them and got the quote and am know just waiting for the go ahead! The bodyshop have said they can get it in as soon as they get the thumbs up so could be some sort of record repair time!!!!!
Trying not to get too excited until i get the go ahead!!
