Question Impreza engine.

My dad wants to know why the Impreza isnt twin turbo because its horizontily opposed.

I dont know, so could someone explain please?

Turbos are not cheap, so why fit more than you need ?

The Legacy B4 does have twin turbos. I guess the marketing department needed some specific driving characteristic which could be best achieved by using two turbos, despite the increased cost. Maybe in that case twin turbo = better responsiveness = more refined = higher price ?

The fact that 2 cylinders alone don't produce enough gas to spin up anything other than an ickle turbo would come into it also.Better to have one decent sized than 2 hairdryers and cheaper too.
