Nearly had me going there Brian.
I thought I was privy to a SN scoop.
Never mind m8 it will arrive one day.
A watched kettle never boils & all that.
I just hope your wait is not as long as I had for my P1.
Mark.

Hi Fellas,
I was looking at a WR1 this morning. This is the first time that i have seen one in the flesh. It is in the showroom at Riding and Co in Preston.I actually think that some chaps will be dissapointed with the colour if they have ordered one and not seen it in the metal. The interior also looked a bit bland in all black.Parked next to it was a WR blue STI,and being honest it was the more attractive car.I know its all personal taste, and hope its all things to all men to those that have one on order, but with the performance figures not being quite as we were led to believe, the WR1 may not live up to some peoples expectations.I hope i am wrong.Regards, SIMON.

I agree Simon performance figures are ok but nothing outstanding, but i supose they have milked the engine now, any more and its too unreliable for a high miler.
Sorry Mark, i was hoping for some pics but didnt get them
Iwan, you should have took a pic anyway would have thought they would have WANTED the pics up on the net to be the first dealer to get a WR1 , missed opurtunity i think.

Yours' seems to be minority (although still valid) opinion.
I own a WR1 and have been busily showing it off to loads of people for the last 24hrs.
A quick straw pole of these 'victims' suggests (approx. 30 - 40 people):
80% Love the colour.
15% Hate the colour.
5% Don't Know.
All liked the interior and general appearance of the car - most loved it!
I used to own a WR Blue STi PPP. Most of the 'victims' said the WR1 looks far better!
........as for performance, we'll have to wait and see (still running in). But if the exhaust note is anything to go by, I'll be in for a treat. The WR1 is a whole octave deeper.................and LOUDER!!
Ask Nick he's seen and heard it!!

The car looks superb & the ice blue colour looks great in sunlight. The colour changes slightly depending on the light source. The WR1 decals on the sides look fine & go with the ice blue with no real issues. Wheels & tyres look superb. Sitting on the drive in front the house, it looked a million dollars. The driving lights are spotlights, not foglights, which is good. The seats look good in black/grey alacantra with red STI logos. The WR1 tax disk holder looks surprisingly cool, I expected it to be tacky, but it's not. Lee kindly took me for a short drive, from inside the car, the exhaust note is fine. Outside, it's a lower deeper note. When Lee drove off & up a hill, the car sounded like a WW2 fighter plane!

1. 'Eject' the cr@ppy cup holder.
2. Get a grip of the top of the stereo surround
3. Pull with constant force making sure you try to release the left top first.
- This should release the top left retainer (push fit)
4. Gently release top right using fingers.
5. Continue the same top to bottom of surround.
6. The whole thing should lever clear.
7. You'll the have to remove the stereo (6 bolts)
Don't drop them................you'll never find them again!!
8. You'll need an electrical adapter..................!
9. Fit stereo using 'plates' attached to oem stereo!!
10. Put dash back together
Good Luck
By the way the OEM (Kenwood) stereo has an amp for the rear glass aerial, so reception may not be as good with your electronics.
Speak to and ICE specialist for help with an aerial amp if necessary!
