Question ADR Accident repair centre Nottingham

Has any one used the above if so would you reccomend them. I want to use my own repairer who did some warrenty work on my scooby but the insurance are making it difficult, they want the quote to include every thing down to the last plastic clip( no misc costs on quote). Forgot to say this is for my sister's Focus and not my scoob

I have had a couple of run ins with insurance companies when people have smacked my cars.

Last time a lorry reversed into my car, not too much damage but the insurer wanted me to take it to one of these accident repair centres. I went back to my dealer had the car repaired to its original condition, payed for it myself and then faxed the invoice to the insurer.

After a few telephone conversations with the minions at norwich union and a slight delay they paid up. I did have to threaten them that my company solicitor would get involved if I didnt have the cheque in my hand by the end of the week. I found that they will use any excuse to delay payment.

Just check that whomever you use is an authorised repair centre for your insurance company. I checked before hand and had a written quote.

Good luck!

ADR are her insurance approved centre. I can't put to much pressure on the insurance company as there are no third parties involved as badger's dont have insurance, but i would be happier if some one who has used them could say that they were happy with the work done. i feel that there's no better advert for a company than happy customer/ customer's

you can always insist on where your car gets repaire (you pay the policy and if you want your car repairing at ford then so be it), however they may make it more hassle than its worth not to, they probably won't supply courtesy cars if you use a repairer that are not on their approved list either.

I can use my own repairer but as you say they won't supply courtsy car but the repairer will, main problem being they say it could take 7 working days to authorise the repair if i use my own repairer. if i use ADR the authorise it same day, it's as if they don't trust me or the repairer its different when they want there money each year.

Now waiting for ADR's quote then its decision time
