I would take it along to a bodyshop and get them to buff the bonnet, Should'nt cost much for cash. I had to do this once after a trip on a ferry, it was parked at the front of the boat and sea water got onto the car, it was a hot day so it had baked on. Could'nt get it off the bonnet, the rest of the car was okay. So just got my local bodyshop to give it a quick buff.....Good as new

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON A NEW GOLF IN BLACK, EVERYTIME I WASHED IT , IT LEFT WHITE DOT/WATERMARKS. AFTER THIS I STARTED USING A SHAMMY TO DRY THE CAR AND IT NEVER HAPPENED AGAIN.

Its a fun town. Second biggest city in Nevada. Las Vegas comes first. Similar place on a smaller scale (pop approx 600K). Lies in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains on the edge of the Nevada desert. Named after some fronteer cavalry explorer guy. Great for skiing and watersports at Lake Tahoe, about 1hr drive. Great driving roads both in the mountains and in the desert. Radar happy cops though. I sound like a tourist information chap! There you go, now you know all about your handle!

Use a better wash & wax, i used turtle wax and it did the same. ALWAYS dry your car with a leather after washing it down.

Has anyone tried Turtle Wax Extreme wash & wax, it seems much better than the standard crap.
