Default Import paperwork

Hi All,

I've sent away my paperwork to the DVLA so I can get my registration and tax sorted out on my import. I was just wondering how long it takes to get the correct registration stuff sent through to me so I can get a UK plate made up for it. Its just that I'm gagging to use it but don't want to do anything illegal

Cheers
Paul

2-3 weeks seems a long time to assign a number plate and tax disc . This is for a personal import from Japan. They must be able to turn it around sooner than that otherwise I'm gonna have to go for a drive late at night as I'm gagging to get onto the open road.

I went in person to my local DVLA office in Cardiff and left with my reg number so it should not take that long.
