how much fuel?
So how much fuel is left when the light comes on?

About 9 Ltrs (or 15 miles with heavy foot sometimes
)
I run mine for a further 10-15 miles normally (My GX was about 11 ltrs!)

9L = 2 gallons = say 40 miles, 15 is very conservative

I got 27 miles after the light came on once trying to limp to the Shell station. Was crapping myself, waiting for the dreaded 'judder' of fuel starvation. Certainly wouldn't push it any further than that!

What models have a fuel light? I dont think the old MY97 had one nor the current MY99?

Think the MY99 has one assuming it's the same dash as my MY00 classic that does have a low fuel light. But yes the older models (MY97?) don't.

Handbook says 9ltrs, so 2 gallons = a safe 30-40 miles.
