I used to own a lovely silver 1973 Manta A Berlinetta years ago, still one of my favourite cars with its twin front and rear lights.

I had two Opel Ascona Berlinetta's [1.9SR then a 2.0SR] before I got my Manta 2.0SR Berlinetta.
That was many, many, many years ago though.

yup, the car that taught me about oversteer

It was so long, and so well balanced you could get silly angles

Yep had an S plate white SR.

Great car although I did smash it up rather badly

Was living up in Loughborough and on me way home late at night I came across a mkII RS Ecort so we ended up having a play.

As I got passed him I flipped on main beam and tried to wonder why there was grass growing across the road. The road was raised above the field level and that was the verge of a very tight left turn ....... didn't make that.

Ended rolling bonnet over boot a couple of times (very happy I always wear a seat belt), broke all the glass in the car and I got to stay in Leicester Royal over night.

Needless to say the car was a gonner.

1986 GTE. Seemed great at the time. Drove one recently and it just wasn't the same, but they were pretty good in their day and great for some sideways fun

YES great cars in their day,

Can anybody remember the cavalier GTS Hatch 2.0 (1979)
or the

Cavalier Coupe (VERY RARE)

All these motors resemble the impreza in one way or another
