Please read the post by the West Yorkshire police in the Northern forum. This information applies to all Impreza owners, as it could be YOU next.

Have to say flatty that I see hoaxes on here every week - one of the last ones told me if I was to flash a car with no lights (oo err) on I would be shot!!????
So its natural to question the validity of any security alert thread - I mean I live near liverpool, but dont need to tell people to buy locking wheel nuts now do I?
If there is a front of scoob fetish going national then thankyou for the warning - but dont be so defensive!!
Oh and if there is a crime spree of any kind the police are usually quite ok to give out none specific information about it in order to help reduce the risks of the spate increasing!!!
Right - I'm off to B&Q - now which isle are the outdoor lights down?

You should have asked for me or Pc Green when you rang Huddersfield Police!!
The Audio Alert Light is just a suggestion, B&Q are the store we use to demonstrate our approved Crime Prevention Devices and this is already a good seller.

Abdabz is right - these sort of things are posted up the time, so I don't think it is a stupid question to ask whether this has been verified as genuine. Anyone remember the 'don't flash your headlights' one that was doing the rounds last week? There are loads of these things in my inbox. If ,as it appears, this one is genuine, then great - thanks for the advice, but please also consider how people will view your response.
