Default Optimax - Becoming harder to justify?

Ouch, just had to fill up at a massive 88.9p on Optimax were as a few weeks back it was peaking at 81.9p.
The problem being at work, unleaded is only 81.9p, is there a case to start thinking that maybe at 7p a litre more that Optimax might not be the best option?

Or would people agree that after always running on the stuff, better fuel consumption, engine cleaning property that it's better to just grit my teeth and get a cheaper dentist?

It's 89.9 near me. The car is mapped on the stuff aswell so can't really use anything else.

It's very tempting for when the truckers protest to get a Performance Jap car protest aswell. Scoobs, Evo's, Skylines, GTIR's etc all to do a go slow in London. Basically cause mayhem.

We are being priced off the road. If the government lowered the Tax on petrol from the 80+ % it is now then the price could easily drop 15p overnight. But Gordon want's another 3p tax on petrol. Bring down tax, bring down cost in petrol.

94.9 here in Belfast for SUL. No Optimax available in Ireland so it's our only choice.

I get an extra few MPG out of Optimax so that offsets the extra cost (but that doesn't mean I'm happy about paying 90ppl.

Exclamation IF You Are Serious Lets Get It On

Guys lets do it Set a date and bring London to a standstill because I for one cannot see this Government listening to anything while people are prepared to just moan. Look what happened last time.

So if you really want to organise something count me in

I suppose the only way to look at it is that it is still a lot cheaper to pay the price for the best petrol than to possibly have to rebuild the engine after No. 3 big end gives up because of detonation.

Also if there is going to be a real fuel shortage, you would pay anything for petrol.

Mentioned this on another thread, but ESSO SUL is (was on Friday) 80.9 at High Wycombe, off the M40 just past John Lewis. That can't last for long though!

No, no, no, its time to tell the goverment to **** off to be honest.

Another form of cummunism this is, they make it so we can't drive what we want due to the cost, they tell us we can't smoke, they tell us we can't complain about anything, they tell us all these things and in return they knacker pretty mush everything else up, while the good old British public just sit in a corner and moan.

Roll on the strikes!

RISE UP BROTHERS, RISE UP AND CRUSH THE GAYNESS THAT IS BLAIR!
