SCOOBY SHOOT OUT - Long Range Weather Forecast
The weather forecast for Monday is classic late spring bank holiday conditions.
It will be warm, around 19deg C max with a sunny spells and light showers.
There will be a 4mph headwind to contend with, so expect reasonable top speeds on the day.
More updates to be brought to you shortly.

(Well at least it ain't snowing, and will be less hot than my last trip to Elvington, phew!)

That's disengenuous m8
We want low temps (single figures) with a just slightly damp surface
Why? Well the AWD system works best in delivering traction when there is a slight slippage and low temps mean that the i/coolers will be working at nearer to optimum
(but we'll put up with nice weather
)

PTMW, do you mean disi ngenuous?
Don't want it to slip at all mate, woulod heat my viscous coupling unit up, and reduce overall drivetrain efficiency!

Puff,
I dissagree that a damp surface is the best to launch on
that is of course if you've got enough power to spin the wheels in the dry

any mup can rev to spin
but if you think about it, getting a little slip in there allows the AWD to start to work AGAINST further slip hence increasing the grip

The long range weather forecast has changed again.
It is now going to be raining, 15 degs, with 13mph southerly wind.
Pooh.
Need to turn the boost down.
Again.

So, turn up on time and ask all your questions NOW before taking up briefing time (hence start time) with them
Lets help Chris/Peccy to get this starting on time and smoothly please - before the dancing begins
