Question Warranty & Miltek back box

Hi All,

I am about to extend my warranty on MY00 turbo and have been offered a Miltek back box to give me a better note without having to change the system, which I dont really want to do.

Anybody know if the Miltek system and specifically the bb will not make the extended warranty invalid. The supplier says not but they would wouldn't they.

This is my first mod to the car and am quite keen to personalise the car but not invalidate the warranty

Any replys would be appreciated.

Thanks

Martin

Hi, i would ask your subaru dealer if fitting the Miltek system and specifically the back box would invalidate your warranty. I am sure that only a 'sports' back box as a sensible mod, and should not affect the warranty?? u can but ask.

...and if and when u find out about changing the bb...and it does not affect the warranty, let me know as my dad is kinda of thinking about changing his 03 WRC back box for something more bruble e.g. vortex or Ninja

I would not bother asking the Subaru dealers as they all give different answers. If your warranty is through IM then why not ring them direct and find out for sure?

What warrenty companies say is ok at one time is very different if it comes to making a claim, they will usually try to get out of paying if they can

The best thing to do if you have to claim is to put it back to std and not have to worry about if they will pay or not
