Got a mate who has moved to America who has enlightened me to the fact that you can get a basic 2.5 scooby for the equivalent of £10,000 ($18,000).

You can get a top of the range STI for £17,000 ($32,000).

i agree, its dis-heartening when you work out price differences. Its the simple fact that America and other countries are not cheap.............UK is expensive and a rip-off.

 

oh and a nother thing the fuel (gas) is a quarter of the price it is in the UK...what a bloody rip off the UK is

 

and they think our engine sizes are pants!

 

I've heard that fuel has doubled there recently, but that's still only half what we pay

The fuel my be creeping up over there, but if you take into consideration that road tax accounts for some of the cost.

So they don't even have to pay road tax like we do, the more you drive, the more fuel you use, the more tax you contribute........ sounds good to me.

Something related to air, how about air travel. Thanks to the likes of Ryanair and Easyjet, it is now possible to get to many destinations cheaper by air than it is by train.

And i dare say among Europe, the UK based 'no frills' airlines are the most competitive price wise
