there were 2 at elvington and dont suppose they were that impressive, but heat soak took all the power, i ran a 13.1 and missed 3rd gear with a 1.71 60ft time which were consistent with all my 4 runs but believe me when the temps are normal no other out of the box scoob will get near it
According to my secs monitor the intake temp only came down as low as 47 degrees but was mostly in the mid to high 50s and with the ecutek running everything gets backed down considrably after 35 degrees.
Besides the type 25 isnt just a straight liner it goes round bends like no other impreza.
I for one am over the moon with it and also with dealing with Iain and wont be changing it for a very long time

My out of the box STi PPP ran 13.5 @ 98 mphand I couldn't get a good start for the life in me...
Ian Litchfield's 25 did a 13.3
Also 136.5 against the two Type 25's 142-143 at the end of the 1.25 mile...
Not that much in it really, maybe not even a cars length in the 1/4..
I ran a 13.04 last year with the same car but got better starts...

Mmmmm

Just as a note the if the WR1 really does hit 100 in 11.3 seconds it would have been well infront... i I mean a long way... err judging by the type 25 ... errrr i don't think so.

I want some of those 16 extra BHP's they put in the WR1. they must be different ponies...

not got a type 25 but i have a type R with the STi 2.5 lump, it totally transformed the car, the torque in higher gears is immense, MUCH more drivable, shame im having to sell it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=337112

as for the 1/4 mile time, managed a 13.2 at low boost and running well under power! last month, as the engine only had a couple thousand mile on it.

Nice to see you actually read my post then dazza???
From the start line at the scoobyshootout my power was down to around 330bhp because of the retarding from the ecu but believe me if it wasnt backing down so much there would be a whole lot in it compared with your sti in fact it wouldnt even get a look in

Has anyone considered adding an additional air con evaporator matrix atop the sti intercooler plus cooling the fuel - not to mention ram/ suck fans for low speed - all charge temp controlled?

Sorry again for the delay....

OK here goes:

Studio Based Shots (Copyright © Litchfield Imports 2004). Click images for larger images (Broadband recommended). Car is the development car, some specifications may have changed, e.g. tyres fitted to road car are the Bridgestone RE070 not the Toyos shown here.

Track Based Shots (Copyright © Ian Watkins 2004). shots taken at bedford in February 2004. Development car.

Other Shots (Copyright © Ian Watkins 2004). Various shots of parts and bits that go on the car.

Official Type 25 site is here

Cheers

Ian

Out of interest, have you gone for the std 17" wheels or the Prodrive 18" ones? Is there much difference?

Got the 18" prodrive wheels, not much difference except the different tyres but has far more than enough grip, anyway suspension can be set up especially for the 18s too

I had a little play in photoshop. It's not brilliant but you get the idea.
