I did a "how-to" guide and posted it on my website when I fitted one to my MY00 Classic.

got one on my uk car but it cost a fortune to get done ariel alone is around £80 mark, hated the idea of pulling the ariel up to listen to the radio

Aerial cost me £50 from Grade A and I fitted it myself, a doddle.

hmmm then what did you do about the hole in the front driver side pillar where the areil was

A plate was welded in it, which was then catalloyed and filled, primed and painted like it never existed.

I used to leave the aerial up all the time, which solved the problem without costing anything.
