Exclamation Do they do a ...

.....1996 wrx in version 4???

Or are all '96 models version 3??

Is it true that a 1997 car requires a more detailed SVA test than a 1996 car??

Any help...much appreciated

Matt

yes mate any car registetred in jan 97 need to conform to a model report, these you can rent from www.modelreports.com these cost around 250- 350 pounds and you car has to be bog standard. any car before 96 has to be as close as possible to standard also cant have any aftermarket bits like exhausts induction kits etc but you don't need a model report for these hope that helps

as scoobymonster says mate you need your car totally standard or else you will get stung for a model report and this will mean twice the price and a lot more hassle. If they ask you for a report one can only be made on a standard car anyway so no matter what you would be best getting it right first time.

no mate any car after jan 97 needs a model report but just last month they changed the law any car before 97 does not need a model report but it has to be totally standard so for your 96 sti you dont need a model report and just change the zorst and do all the other bitds like mph convertetr, rear foglight, fuel restricter etc

Like i said below,if you get a strict tester,he might fail you or make you get a report(it has happened to people i know) so for the sake of changing it and no hassle just go standard
