Default RB5 Virtual Engine for the newbie ;-)

Hello all and good saturday to you

Today i finished working on a beta version of a virtual engine to help the newbie of the impreza see whats what in the engine bay... It is designed for the newbie at the minute but more advanced technical images will be introduced in due course

Its still very much in the early days but would appreciate you views....

Click the engine image on the following link to see what i mean!

http://www.subaru-impreza.org/virtual_engine.shtml

The flash plugin is required for the demo but most people should already have it installed.

All the best

brilliant mate ...a really useful tool.

MAF sensor, Boost control solenoid, idle control, O2 sensor, knock sensor ....would be useful sensors to highlight, as these are the ones commonly asked about.

Hello Frank - all above should be included over the next few nights (i wish we had 30hour days )... Think we will take this to a more detailed level soon

Thanks all for the comments on this one.

The flash source code will be made available next month (once cleaned up a little) so for those who like a dabble in Flash can download it.

Really cool

Personally I didn't like the flashy bit while the image changes but then I don't have a scoob so it doesn't matter

Hello Bob.T, thats a fair point... Think the sound (beeps) and the flashing bit may have to go very soon...

Excellent idea to do something like that.

Im looking at getting a subaru soon, i joined this site to find out as much info as possible before i make a purchase. That site that illustrates all engine parts etc is brilliant, very usefull and easy to understand. Would like to see it once youve added alot more bits.
