Thumbs up

...and a Viper, Maser 3200GT, XKR-R, 968, Elise. All at one of Tangerine's Supercar days (Mallory Park). Mind you, struggled a bit, being 6'5" A bloody good birthday present though - the noise of the Diablo will stay with me for some time! I can see why people fall in love with the Elise immediately - so easy to drive quickly. Somthing that may surprise you all is that the quickest car around the circuit amongst that lot is consistently the XKR - VERY deceptive, and I want one -it absolutely flies in the 70-120mph bracket (about Mallory's top speeds). And for your 60 grand you gat a telly and satnav, and those 20" wheels are stunning (wouldn't fancy the tyre bills much...) The 3200GT (twin turbo manual, this one) is terrifying - fly-by-wire throttle will have you onto the grass in a jiffy, and the steering is horribly light. Again, a bloody fast car in the 70-100 bracket - and one I would not like on a wet roundabout. Viper needs a delicate foot as well - their one supposedly up to 640 bhp, but it didn't feel like it. Needs considerably more than 4 laps to get the hang of.

Anyway, a well organised day, and worth the £400 (if you're not paying...)

Sounds like a must-do event (if you're not paying...)

Is there a web site for this?
