Default £250 for an electric aerial!!!

My stem is broken on my elec aerial, the motor is fine, but local radio shop said it would be much cheaper to get a new stem, than fit a new aerial. They are £80 supply, fit, vat etc. They contacted my local Subaru dealer and were told you can't get the stem on it's own so they would have to supply a new one. Supply only £250, then I have to pay for p&p and fitting!!!

Bearing this in mind, if anyone has a Subaru aerial sitting around that is dead motor wise, can I have the stem please? Will pay p&p and a little extra for your trouble, but not £250 extra!

If you're a really tight bastid then go to you local motor factors or accessory shop and buy a universal electric aerial kit. They should come with a packet of angled spacers etc to suit almost all shapes of panels. I pay around £28 for a kit made by Ring.

Keef69.
What they told you about not getting stem on its own is Bull. Got one myself 12 months back. £80 was the price. Piece of pixx to fit

Ask to speak to STEVE in parts at Oaken Garage on 01902 844441.

www.oakengarage.com

Tell him what you want etc. Will be amazed if he carn,t help ya or give you part number to go to your local Dealer.
