Humberside police hav just commisioned 3 sti8's 2 white ones to be marked up and a black one for undercover work. these cars are going to prodrive for PPP and sump guards etc.
With a bit of luck these should catch some ******* in the area.

Other forces do use Scoobs. I cannot remember where I have seen them all, but there used to be a red undercover one in Nottingham. Not sure if it is still in use now.

North Yorkshire have a classic and Cumbria have an unmarked WR Blue STi8.

 

Notts have a couple of marked up classics

 

Hampshire used to run them as unmarked traffic cars, should have seen how a red classic died, not pretty...not so sure there isn't still a green classic running around the county somewhere...

Yuk - prospect of being "done" by a Scoob .....

I remember when various police forces (mostly the Met) bought a load of Golf VR6's (when I had one myself) - it was an eerie sight to see them flying around!

The "agencies" Phil refers too mostly seem to use Black Range Rovers and BMW 5 series around here. I had a convoy of them fly past me at about 120mph late one evening last week on the M4 .........

 

Presumably you saw the group n ones when we did the trip to ProDrive?

I thought they look great with the red spoiler and red mudflaps...

humberside had 2 classics back in 98-00 they lookd really well. i tried to buy them when they went through auction. someone actually did make a diecast model of it
