I wanted to know what the minimum amount of mileage should be on new car before doing a track/airfield day as I have a MY00 with 1600 miles and I am attending the scoobynet airfield day next monday is this a bad idea or not?? please help

I have known cars take to the track literally days after completing the 1,000 mile run-in period.
My first event was at 2k miles, and that included a 500 mile drive to get there. Car felt much better afterwards

No, only two gearboxes!
Seriously though, my short block was replaced due an engine fault and only one gearbox failed really. The second one was faulty when it was fitted.
I won't be running at Spod as much, if ever, let's put it that way.
Stef.
