Price of MY05

General consensus would say they will stay at the same price - all new model in 2006/2007, and the car is hardly fliying off the forecourts, so there is no reason to alienate peole and increase the price. I'm sure they'll be pretty much the same as current, which means it is manily down to you searching and negotiating. I have an MY05 on order, price 'expected' to be the same and got £1800 off a new WRX SL 5 door. Bargains there to be had if you look...

I went via a broker - www.carfile.net - and he put me in touch with his dealer (official Scooby one) up north somewhere. Cannot remember the name but the location does not bother me as part of the deal (inlcuded regardless) is a free delivery on the back of a low loader anywhere in the country, so it's not as if I have to go anywhere. I like this internet buying thing ;-)

If carsupermarket are looking at £20k, and I paid £20.5k (given prices stay about the same which I think they will do), then shows what shopping around can do for you. This is on an 05 WRX SL 5-door with metallic (ordered the the new crystal grey having decided I like this better than WRC Blue, even though I've not seen the colour. Given the new 05 STI has lots of key improvements (DCCD etc), the list is only £1k over current prices, I bet the WRX will be max £500 to nothing over current prices...
