Default Where am I goin wrong?

I put my black STi V1 up for sale in the autotrader last week - I did my research as advised by guys on Scoobynet and came up with a price of £5500........

So why have I had so many phone calls (inundated infact!) of people offering me £4000!

have I put her up for too much?

2 months ago I bought a V3 STI, immaculate for £5,500 off here! I have seen a few early STI's ones around the £4,000 mark recently on here SIDC and Autotrader. Most people on here don't seem to realise how much the Scooby prices have dropped in the last year. The main reason is the insurance problems now, plus there are so many imports coming in, the market is flooded. When I bought mine I saw it and others advertised between £9,000 and £6,500. Mine started at £7,750 and he kept coming down every 2 weeks, till I turned up 3 months later, with the cash, and told him £5,500 or I walk. Sure he was keen to sell, but I think you should be asking around £4,500 and willing to take offers.

I could have bought a V-Ltd 555 V2 STI for £5,500 but much prefered the facelift V3 with the stonger, higher revving, higher bhp engine.

Sure none of this helps, just thought I'd share my views and experiences.
