WRX or 2.5 Legacy?

WRX or 2.5 Legacy?
Hmm,
Here's a question.
Just been to my local dealer to have a small problem sorted out on my MY02 GX.
Mentioned I was thinking about replacing it later this year with a WRX and the sales guy recommended I try the Legacy, and thrust a set of keys into my hands and said - give it a go.
It's really very good. The one I tried was the 2.0iS - so similar to my GX.
I was thinking of "upgrading" to a WRX - but how about the 2.5 Legacy?
Cheaper to buy, run and insure - better quality interior.
Ok - nothing like as stiff and certainly not the same image, but still the same boxer engine, awd system etc.
Anyone got any thoughts?

I have a WRX for my own car and the wife has a 2.5 legacy (last years model) for the family car.
The legacy is great as a family car and is excellent for loang runs & motorway cruising but it doesn't comapre to the WRX for fun value.

Yes, I'm sure you're right.
I was hoping to provoke a bit more active discussion that this - perhaps this was so obvious I shouldn't have posted it in the first place!
But, am I really going to turn my back in the Impreza for a Legacy? Love my GX, and the WRX did seem like the next logical step.
Cheers...

It's the age old trade-off between practicality and fun factor. But to be honest, the WRX shouldn't be discounted as a family car. I use mine as one : 4 doors, plenty of boot space, etc. The only thing you really have to compromise on is the running costs and firm ride, both of which you get used to after a while.
If your heart is saying WRX, get one and see if you can live with it for 6 months / a year, you can always swap it if its too much. If you don't try it, you may regret it !!
