Question

Bugger - my dealer (Clarkston Motors in Jordanhill, Glasgow) has just informed me that they no longer do Subaru.

Need some suggestions or experiences please of other dealers in area (Goudies in Paisley and Eaglesham Garage) or recommendations of others if good, cos I've got a clunk which needs looked at!!!

Thanks in advance

D.

PS - can be emailed now if any bad experiences not postable here!!!

Diablo, if you fancy a run down to sunny ayr for the day,my local dealer is good,if a bit dour.(dealing wth farmer types probably) their service dept is second to none,my car always comes back cleaned and more importantly "tight" as new, their mechanics seem to know what they are doing
:s+s services in mossblown, ayr, they will be moving to new purpose built garage soon(old one looks a bit agricultural, but dot be put off)
regards
David

I hadn't realised that Clarkson Motor Co had stopped doing Subaru - I thought they had just moved site (to East end of Glasgow I think). Do you know why ? They only started doing Subaru about 2 years ago.

Anyway, I have used Goudies almost exclusively since 1997.
I rate them as follows:

1. Customer relations - excellent, always very friendly and helpful.

2. Servicing - they seem to do a reasonably good job but since nothing major has gone wrong with my MY98 and previous MY95, they've never really been tested. I don't think that their mechanic staff are ever likely to work for Prodrive however.

3. Cost - seem to be cheaper than average.

They never wash the car which is annoying.

Unfortunately there's not much choice about this area for other dealers.
