IMHO - The Spec C is a rare car due to few people choosing it as a new car. The warranty is third party and the second hand buyer will be wary of it. I would imagine that the market for such a car in the secondhand market will be very small and then if there are buyers then they may not be ready to buy when you sell.
If you are prepared to wait and advertise it in specialist press, then you will probably not lose too much but a quick sale you'll need to price it very keenly - maybe even less than a similar STI UK?
Ask if the dealer you bought it from will buy it from you or sell it for you. At any rate they'll be able to help you price it for a private sale.

I agree, it probably depends on how long you're prepared to wait.
Under-price it and you may be able to attract buyers who would prefer the perceived security of a UK car but who want to save a few quid and for whom the Spec C's improved performance is just a bonus.
Wait for the right buyer, however, and you'll get someone who wants the best car available and who won't be put off by the fact it's an import.
Advertise early in the specialist press - SN, SIDC, Pistonheads - and be patient. Be upfront about its spec and the enhancements over a UK car and you'll get people drooling over it, just like you did when you bought it![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
At a guess I'd expect it to be worth about the same as a Type UK (with PPP?) of the same age and mileage - after all, that's about what it cost new, plus it's a better car which should offset any servicing and warranty issues. Say, £19-£20k?

I have seen a couple in the Autotrader in the last couple of weeks, dealers are selling low mileage examples for around £20K so I would assume private they will fetch £19K ish, about a thousand more than a regular 03 STi. I use the term "selling" lightly as the ones I rang up about were not sold. Good Luck.
PS, would be better to take the extra off and sell seperately, that way you get some money back and standard cars do sell better than modified ones IMHO
