Best place to sell my Scooby and parts...
Well the time has come...
I've had it for a year, had my fun with it and now I'm sick of putting petrol in it every other day and being a slave to these rich oil companies, so it's gotta go... (I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm trying to save up to go to Austrailia next year) Just bought myself a Pug106 Diesel, £25 to fill it, £110 to tax it for a year and 55mpg (Cheap motoring here I come!)
Can anyone advise me where the best place to sell my Scooby is?.. Is Autotrader any good (never used them before)??
I also have some other bits for sale, not sure if I should try them on ebay or sell them here (exhuast, 4-pots, samco hoses)
Can anyone suggest a rough price for my car I should be looking for?...
1998(R) UK Subaru Impreza Turbo
Totally standard apart from MY2000 lights, bumper & grill
72,000 Miles, Good Service history, recent service
New disks, pads all round
Tracker, Cat 1 Alarm
2 Previous Owners
Any advice appreciated.

Auto trader is the best if most expensive, also try websites like scoobynet, and local free papers etc.
Beware of alot of companys offering to sell your car for you - I got loads telling me they had people interested in my car and for only £85 they will help you sell it........BULL****:|
Id also say a standard car will sell better than a modded car - put it to standard......whats the exhaust you got?

Yeah, I put the car back to standard as I thought it'd sell better in that form.
Exhuast, got a H&S Decat downpipe, Magnex Decat Middlesection and Magnex rear box, all sat in the garage gathering dust....

Well it doesn't hurt putting it on the free websites
Here, SIDC, pistonheads, Findit.co.uk, loot.
Have a look at similar MY cars in the trader, exchange and mart etc for a guide on prices, but whether they go for full asking is another matter.
Good luck with the sale, its a buyers market, but if its a goodun, it'll go - a professional full valet is worth the outlay IMO

i agree with jay i have found sidc the best!!
you can sell the parts on ebay would probably get a good price never ever put your car on there the trouble is no one wants to pay the right money on ebay for cars i would never bother!!! not only that you run the risk of selling it on ebay wait 2 weeks for the people to get in contact and when they do they don`t want to pay the bidding price stick with the freebies to begin with then if you have no luck try the autotrader!!
