Talking Newbie in Devon saying hello

Hi folks

I am now the proud owner of a MY95 WRX Wagon in Blue - japanese import. Having owned in the past a Jag XJS, A6, Nissan 300ZX TT, clasic porsche 911 (still own but use only when sunny) and a Subaru SVx (an awful car that cost me £2500 in 6 months of ownership as the rear diff kept blowing up), this WRX is a breath of fresh air.

It has a HKS Exhaust and induction system and goes like s~~~ off a shovel. Did the 450 mile round trip to london and only had 2 idiots who did not like the fact the WRX was in front!!

It is very impressive and certainly gets a lot of stares. It has Gold speedline alloys aswell.

I have put a posti n the ICE section but anyone know how to remove the original stereo? Do i have to remove the trim in the centre console?

Also how often do i have to use Octane Booster?

If anyone sees a blue wagon in Devon, do beep your horn and say hello.

Cheers everyone.

Red face Blow my horn ?

Hi,
Welcome from one newbie to another.
I have a Dark Blue Metallic WRX wagon, Jap spec. too !!
You get used to the stares and questions from people, it does become disapointing though because a lot less people are willing to have a 'race' with you...still, it is still the most rewarding car I have ever owned.
Enjoy the experience.

Big-G.

I'm up in Barnstaple, North Devon - you now have the best car for the best roads (ok outside of North Wales that is!). I'm in a Uk spec silver wagon - and I always salute! (couldn't call it a wave?)

To remove the original ICE yes you must remove centre trim etc., starting with under the gear gaiter.

Use Optimax plus booster (I use Millers one bottle per tank) every tankful.

P.S. Welcome! I have a MY95 saloon, and the classics are the fastest!!

I'm just up the road in Somerset, with a 94 WRX Wagon. We should have a Devon/Somerset meet.

I'll keep an eye out for you Nick. I've got a silver 98S wagon with a subaru banner on front screen and wolfrace alloys. There are a lot of miserable gits up here with Scoobys who don't know how to wave (or drive!!).

The last thing you'd want to do on an impreza is press the horn. How camp could it sound!!!!

We are a large IT firm that deicided we need an office down here. to the IT lads around the country we should have an office in Scotland by the middle of next month, and Leeds......one in Surrey..Zzzz ZZZZ i am boring myself.

SO if you know your game let me know...the potential to make money is massive !
