Default 'Version 3,4 or 5?'

Hi guys,
My mate is at an auction NOW and he is looking to by a 1997 jap import impreza in 10mins!!!

Does anyone know if this would be a VERSION 3, 4 or 5??

He needs to know NOW PLEASE for SVA reasons!

It wont be a five, most likely a 4

Cheers guys - just the news he didn't want to hear!!

He can't get an SVA done on V4's anymore due to some new ruling in january about 'safety reports' or something??

Tell me the auction and car details and I will tell you exactly what it is. Virtually every japanese auction is closed at 9pm though

if it is A MY97 (sept 96-aug97) it will be a 3. MY98 (sept 97-aug98) it will be a 4

A further point; the exact model will be described on the auction sheet, it will say: " 1997 Impreza WRX STI-3 4WD GC8 2000 104 MT5 white AC 4 200 "
As you can see, there is little doubt as to what this car is; a nice car actually; and itll have sold for about £3,000.....
