Comments from run in MY03/04 owners ..
Hello folks,
I've recently picked up an MY05 wagon (generally very excited even after having an MY00 - pictures in gallery etc) and am still gently running it in. Just done 100-odd miles
Would like to hear some comments from folk with run in MY03/04 scoobies as I was expecting my new one to feel a bit slow. I had a well looked after MY00 with decat DP+ Scoobysport BB and had run a Dawes for a while for comparison.
I'm still running in on 'dealers' fuel which will more than likely be normal 95. This combined with the tightness of the new engine + more weight lead me to expect it'd feel a bit slow and ponderous (like an MY01/02 ).
Thing is it doesn't .. fairly flies up to 4K revs, seems to pull earlier than MY00 and is happier a gear higher in most situations .. which leads me to the question .. what can I expect when run in, on optimax and no rev limit?
Looking to hear views from other owners
Thanks,
Avalyn.

I was initially a bit disappointed with my WRX03 (from standard uk 99) when I went for first blast after 1k service, thought the power felt a little 'soft' in comparison, some more miles on the clock and it feels pretty much exactly the same only lot less rattles better ride quality etc. think your right that it pulls better from lower revs. I'm definitely pleased with it now it's loosened up nicely.

Mine runs great now. Really happy with it. Less tight, but still "taut" if you get my idea - after some work (Prodrive springs, Whiteline chassis stuff etc) it handles great now.
Good luck with it.
