I'm being tempted back....
It's been a while since i last visited scoobynet... My impreza history is....
MY2000 turbo, silver - loved it
MY2002 STi Type UK, WR blue - fabulous
then bolted on PPP - awsome - the best ever
MY2003 Sti Type UK - felt it had lost it's edge (non ppp)
Left the scooby scene and bought MY02 BMW M3 SMG -
Thought i'd gone to heaven and my scooby days were long behind me......
But just recently I've been reading about the tweaks the MY05 Sti has received and i must admit i like the new grey colour.
Can anyone tell me when the new model is on sale and is the PPP still the same output as the one I had on my STi V7 - I know after mine was fitted they then added a higher capacity fuel pump... but i'm sure i read somewhere that it was going to be increaded to 315bhp - I note the WR1 is 320 bhp, but I just done like the styling on the WR1 and sorry, but i don't like the colour.
Nice to be back guys, if not quite in a scooby again yet, i'm here in spirit!!!
PS.. Can't help thinking that those EVO VIII MR's are looking tempting

The Euro '05 STI engine is the same, so I'd be surprised if the PPP power output went up. That said I know they do change the details of the PPP package from time to time, so you never know. Of course, some rate torque and driveability above peak power, and that's where the PPP's focus has traditionally been - so it's probably worth a drive even if the headline figures haven't changed.
There's always the Japanese option of course - over 300bhp on UK fuel with just a remap. Add a freer-flowing exhaust and I've seen some fairly implausible figures quoted...

The engine is mechanically identical, it's an exhaust swap & remap fitted post-registration, ie. a variant on the PPP.
You could actually buy the unmodified car in Europe as the 'Solberg edition' - same colour, DCCD-A, but the standard 265PS engine.
