Hmmmmm......
A 98 type RA V Limited?
This should make it a version 4..... a bit of a dead zone unfortunately as the ecu's wernt as adaptive as the V5/V6 cars for remapping....
You would need to speak to the likes of Bob Rawle at BR Developements to see what you can do to your car, the biggest gains will be from an exhaust at this time, but id seriously advise the fitting of a knocklink, available from www.jap-innovations.co.uk you will also need the Bosch sensor to go with that, this will give you visable warning of whats happening to your engine (i take it your running super unleaded/optimax and octane booster???) as JDM cars need a MINIMUM of 100 ron fuel, which we dont get over here (optimax is the closest) and STi's can be quite sensitive to how much knock they can adjust before they det, even the earlier cars (anyone saying you can run just super unleaded/optimax can pay for your engine rebuild, its that serious!!) will struggle on our fuel, so be warned!
Top of your list should be the following 2 modifcations:-
Knocklink and sensor
Brakes (Disc/pad or something like an AP 4 pot setup) as the originals are not the greatest (plus braided lines etc)
