I think you'll find there's a few Scoobies invading their Track Sessions.

'A Cat amongst the pigeons' springs to mind.....

But hopefully not 'Lambs To the Slaughter'

Any Scoobs going from the South. If so how about meeting up (M1 Toddington Services is normally a wise choice)

No doubt I'll see you there John.
Are spectators allowed a free run of the Pit Lane at Silverstone as Per Donnington.
Or are they as strict on that as they are about passengers ?????

Scott,
Each driver will be given four pit passes each, to distribute as they see fit. Say something nice about Cossies, and I might "lend" you one...
LOL

My passes are available as well, coming down the M1 from UP NORTH and some early hour!

<img src=http://smilecwm.tripod.com/net2/smileyshot22.gif>

BTW Mike or anyone who's been before, if I aim to get there for 8:30am, do you reckon I've time for scrutineering (finishes at 9am), mini bus tour + changing onto track tyres?

Greg

Greg,
I would have thought so, as I don't want to be getting up too early on the Sunday morning either!
Best regards

Myself and a few others are leaving Northampton with the tyre boys at around 7am to arrive at Silverstone quite early.
Lot's to do, you know!

Thumbs up

I'll be there. It's only my third trackday in my standard MY00 so I guess I'll be in the slow group :-(

I am however getting my geometry 'Prodrived' and have reserved a set of part-worns from Tyres Northampton so am looking forward to taking on some of those beautiful long constant-radius Silverstone corners.

Was anyone else there last Sunday for the Coys event? You should have seen the pre'64 GT's, and the Iso-Bizzarini in particular, drifting through Luffield. Poetry in motion. If I manage anything close to that once on the day, I'll be a happy man.

See you there.

Yes, i am going, i plan to meet up with Steph @ Tyres Northampton and head on over. I have been trying to get in contact with Jenny - the lady organising the track day part to book a place, can't get through. Does anyone know of another way of contacting her???

I plan to bring along a Mini DV cam and in car mount should anyone fancy themselves and their motor being a movie star. See ya there!
P.S. The camera mount moves through 180 degrees so you can point it out of the back window and get shots of the Fords as well!!!

Mr Leigh,
It is normally £10, but I have asked the people on the gate to look out for a certain L reg WRX (they'll know the one, as kids will be bowing all round it (being sick of course) ). The owner will be wearing a bikini, with a very obvious shaven area... LOL

In view of this, expect to have to pay double!
Best regards
Mike

I would hope that no scoobies are going anywhere on the 30th July, except to the SIDC AGM

The mount (grip) is like a giant crocodlie clip 'bout 8 inches long and plastic coated, hugely powerful spring to stop it coming off, i tend to fit a saftey line to it as well. It has small camera mount fixed to one side, the mount has a pretty full range of movement so it can be set to most positions.
The mount will fit round a roll bar or an upright in/out of the car.
It is a bit suck it and see as to where it goes although i will try it inn my car on Saturday to see how i get on. You are welcome to try out. I tend to use it with a mini DV cam as thre camera is light and very high quality. I might well edit the footage together next time i am in an edit suite, which should be the end of next week.
Anyone who would like a copy of the tape is welcome to one or i might well post 'em as m-pegs for people to download - This assumes that i have charged the batteries and remember to put a tape in, oh and the camera is being use on a shoot at the moment, i should have it back in time or there will be big trouble @ work!

Yes, you are right it is Trudy, My apologies to Trudy

Nah Harj, what will really happen is that after talking to me and sampling some of my northern charm and sophistication she will dump ya on the spot mate.

The final nail in the coffin will be when she sees “I am considerably faster than yow!” LOL

Now then, where can I put my whippet in the pits on Sunday? LOL

Sounds mad!! That will be my challenge for the day to see if I can keep up with you! John Felstead is no problem for me as his head slows him down

Any other mad cars there?
