Default Rear fog lamp **** ups on Jap imports

I saw one that looked like it had been taken from a Raleigh Griftor (bike) and bolted on with the same steel rusty nut used on the bike!

Why are some fog lamps on import Scoobs in the UK shocking!

Maybe a prize for the person who can post the worst looking rear fog lamp job! LOL

Must agree with you there, some import cars I've seen (Not just Scooby's) look like they've had the rear foglight thrown at them.

This is what I do - Put it on the day of the Mot and take it off straight after. How do the police know you haven't got a fog light if it isn't foggy?
Then if you think there's going to be fog, its only 5 mins to put on.

mine was a slimline unit under the bumper

i removed it anyway and fitted it into the offside reverse light with a red bulb
much better IMO

The reverse light modification is the best way.

its just a requirement for the sva test (and mot), pity they are cheap and nasty. i could find a flush bumper foggy like on my baby if you want to improve the look. could email piccy if needed.

David Hendry cars sourced and fiited a UK spec offside rear light cluster for my old WRX - neatest way of doing it IMHO

I saw a prelude today with the rear fog lamp that I am so sure has been stolen from a dynamo powered lamp kit from a Raleigh Shopper

I have seen many jap imports (Hondas, Toyotas etc) and when braking they have two lights per cluster. So is it not a case of making one of the brake lights on each cluster a fog light?
